BOGO: BUY ONE, GET ONE

Help others in need– new ministry to help feed those in need. We ask that families take advantage of the BOGO (buy one get one) offers at the local supermarkets, and donate the second item to St Louis. They can be dropped off in the bins located in the narthex of the church. We will then collect them and store them for others that come to the church office in need of food. What a great way to help our neighbors and set an example to those around us to do the same!

We can also collect the perishable items that are offered; all we ask for those items is that arrangements be made in advance by contacting Bob Friedlander 786-554-3420.

Come join the St Louis BOGO ministry - "Buy one give one."

DISCIPLES IN MOTION

Are you, or a member of your family, formerly a member of Disciples in Motion? The dance ministry is trying to gather all costumes and accessories that may be hiding somewhere in your closet, under your bed, or folded in a bureau drawer! Please contact the ministry at disciplesinmotion@hotmail.com for information on returning these items, or bring them to the front office of the church. Thanks!!

STEWARDSHIP CORNER

PERSEVERANCE
Life would be so much easier if Jesus were still walking the earth. Think of the benefits. We would have proof that he lived, died, and rose again. We really could get an answer to "What would Jesus do?" But think of the temptations: "Lord, find me a job." "Please cure my friend." We might neglect responsibilities to be with him. Jesus commanded his disciples to proclaim the Good News. He promised the Holy Spirit's power to help them persevere and do extraordinary things in his name. Then he returned to his place at God's right hand. At our baptism, we received the same power from on high as the disciples, and were "clothed in Christ." For us to persevere as followers of Jesus we continually need the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us set aside time each day, as the first disciples did, to pray as we approach Pentecost.

Living Stewardship Now
Parishes are full of opportunities for you to offer service to fellow parishioners. Local charities have many openings for volunteers. Give some of your time and ability to serve people in the community. Financial donations are welcome everywhere!
