Dear School Families, Administration and Faculty of Saint Louis Covenant School:
As previously announced, Mr. Edward Garcia has decided to retire from Saint Louis Covenant School at the end of the school year. Following this announcement, I worked with the Office of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Miami to form a Search Committee of stakeholders from our school and parish community. This committee helped to perform interviews and ultimately gave their recommendations to me. I am grateful to each of them. As a result of this process, I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Julie Perdomo has accepted the position of principal at our school starting the academic year 2024-2025.
Mrs. Perdomo is familiar with our welcoming and joyful spirit. Just three years ago, she left Saint Louis to become principal at Saint Mary Cathedral Catholic School. Prior to that she and her family were active members of Saint Louis Parish. She was part of the faculty and the administration of the Covenant School for 15 years, having served as assistant principal for the last eight.
Our school will be well served by Julie's solid leadership. As a woman of Faith, she comes with the intention of continuing to build on top of the already strong foundations of the Covenant School. With the support of Mrs. Annie Baixauli, clergy, administration, faculty and school families, Julie will have a great team to support her. Please join me in offering prayers and welcoming Mrs. Perdomo, our new principal!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Rev. Gabriel Vigues
